Quinceañeras

How to organize the 15 years of your daughter

Planning a celebration of “Quinceañera“

  • Remember that Quinceañeras must have been confirmed or at least be registered in confirmation classes (by preference in 2nd year) and in good standing (which means with good presence to the classes according to a testimony from the Religious Education Office).
  • Once you have brought these certificates, you have to pay a non-refundable deposit of $ 100.
  • Choose, please good Padrinos or sponsors that will be able to support and help your daughter when needed.
  • Decide what religious music or mariachis you want for your mass. Names and numbers of good musicians can be provided by the parish office.
Decide if the mass will be in
    Spanish, English or Bilingual.
  • Get the readings of the mass at the parish office. First reading, a responsorial psalm and the Prayer of Consecration to our Mother, the Virgen
  • Mary that the quinceañera will read during the mass. The Quinceañera should practice her reading prior to the celebration date.
  • Encourage your relatives and guests to participate in the mass, not only in the reception. The prayers for your daughter will be a blessing for her and the best gift she can receive.
  • rehearsal of the celebration will take place the eve at the church, generally on Friday around 7:00 pm. All the sponsors or Padrinos, as well as the chambelanes and dames are invited to be there for learning what they will have to do the following day. This rehearsal is mandatory.
  • There is also one mandatory Formation meeting for parents, padrinos, Damas and chambelanes of all the quinceañeras during the year. The last meeting was on January 18, 2020.

Please, for all your questions and for the rehearsal, contact our Quinceañeras Coordinator, Ms. Guadalupe Nava: (650) 444-1925.  The fee for her servicies is $ 75 and must to be payed in advance at the Parish Office.

Quinceañeras!: please remember to enjoy this special moment of your life and be thankful to your parents, padrinos and your court for being part of this special day, but most importantly to God for allowing this celebration to take place. May Jesus guide you in the path of life! Thank you,
